Spontaneous Phuket - Day 1

It was a spontaneous trip, booked merely two weeks before it all happened.
Got a good deal off Hotels.com at around $560 for two nights in Villa Zolitude, a hide away on the mountain in Chalong overseeing Chalong Bay.

Reading told me to only go for the red and yellow cab company in the arrival hall and cab from airport to this place was about 45min and 800thb.
We are up on the hill, air is fresh, resort is new, feeling is good.

The check in lady was nice enough to allow us early check in at 11am.

 Welcome drink with cold towels
Bungee ride to our villa
Did some reading on trip advisor and couples recommended Grand Two Storey Villa up the hill with villas starting from 40(x). Con is the not so pleasant climbing up the steep hill (you can always call for a bugee) but the Pros gave you awesome view and better privacy.

Thank God pool is clean, unlike some horrid stories we heard about villa in Bali.

 Outdoor shower place
Outdoor potty business which Inho loved.
Day bed in the entertainment room on the ground level.
It's a full queen sized bed, this villa can fit a family, someone can sleep here.

We watched the rented Johnny Depp DVD here on our second night.
 Going on the second storey

 They used fresh orchids everywhere

There you can see my sibek enjoyed husband watching his ever KBS on cable.

Mini bar are free though there isnt much variety to say.
Villa survival kit we brought from Singapore.

 View from the restaurant

Past lunched hour, we are the few customer left dinning.

We ordered the red curry set
Food here is reasonable priced and tasteful. I enjoyed the osmanthus sauce dip.

Rounding up with a pot of earl grey for me.

Library offer a range of books, DVDs, CDs for loan. We notice quite a bit of Korean books probably left behind by previous customers. Inho is excited to get hold of a few Korean comics, something rare in Singapore.

Main pool view at night is spectacular, will show on day 2 photos.

Had fun playing a couple of games.

Hotel spa we didn't had a chance to visit. Should have pre-book the slot before we come.
Highly recommend this Japan made Biore UV50SPF sunblock, unlike other sunblock this series is cream based and not oily at all.

They send the guys to send up our candle light dinner at 5pm.

Enjoying our reads / ipad movie on the day bed.
We are advised to consume the food immediately in prevention of trespassing cats. lol.
Seafood salad that includes celery, basil, rocket, fish, squid, prawns, mussels, scallop over salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Pan seared tuna salad laced with mango vinaigrette

Grilled Australian sirloin and tiger prawns served with sautéed potato, grilled vegetables and grain mustard and tartar sauce. They forgot to asked me how i want my steak to be cooked, it came out medium well, a little rubbery, we normally had ours in medium rare.
Lamb chops in parmesan batter with wild garlic, cilantro-mint sauce, buttered tagliatelle
and ribbon vegetables.

Good thing about this in villa candle light dinner is dessert is only served upon you phone them. Portion is generous, we ate too much, we held our dessert till 10pm.
Banana and pineapple fritter with vanilla cream sauce
Chocolate cake with fudge.

We wished time can stop.

Birthday Celebration - With Love

My birthday celebration with love at Le Cantina in Changi Village Hotel

Warm bread with olive oil and balsamic.

Awesome cold cut platter i will order again. I remember we paid only $23+ for this which is rather cheap for such generous platter.
Signature crabmeat linguine you shouldn't miss
 Pineapple sorbet
My birthday cake is a pineapple sorbet, sweet ending with a lucky start, huat ah!
Lemon sobert. We actually prefer this over the pineapple one.

Thank you love.
